It’s All Coming Back To Me Now

Anger This morning, a car beside me got hit by another car beside his. That moment brought me back in the time when I had my second accident which made the insurance company poorer by 3k (not to mention last 2 years when I made them fork out 11.5k for the repair). Though I was ’semi crippled’ (driving a ‘96 Xantia with dysfunctional stereo did cripple me in some ways), I’ve got the chance to learn an uber valuable lesson that most find it hard deal with.

Superb anger management.

The way my victime reacted to the whole situation made me revise my own issue of my dealing with anger.

I learnt my lesson and I am still perfecting it now. Did you guys notice that?

My Tuesday was spent whining. Thank you so much to my Ex-Popstar comrade and my Bittergourd Programmer Terlampau for being a bunch of good support!

**************

It is no doubt a good day because:

1) It’s Wednesday

2) It’s going to be 2 days before the weekend.

3) It’s going to be a day before the Year End Sale (I do need a wardrobe makeover. I can’t always re-dye my clothes…)

****************

My Yogi gave me a tips on detox.

"Mix some garam kasar with warm water and soak your feet for 10 minutes. Believe me, you will sleep like a child."

Tried that and it took me almost 1 hour to get me sleeping. Did I sleep like a child? I can’t really tell.

When Stupidity Strikes Like Lightning…

Images_12 The hypothesis on the level of stupidity among Malaysia mainstream artists can now be turned into a solid fact. This is not solely made based on their education background but due to the kampung mentality most of them possess.

I was feeding my kittens and the kitchen TV was airing an interview with this new artist. The TV was loud enough and I couldn’t help myself from expanding my ears on the whole interview session. So yeah, the host followed the normal procedure of the show and later came to the question where the singer was being asked about her career. The question sounded like this:

"Given the situation where you are asked by your husband to quit singing, are you going to stop?"

*laughing*

"Ok lah, let’s link this situation to you. Would you quit showbiz when directed by your wife? It’s like, you won’t be able to sing, host a program, act and stuff… Would you do that?"

Her answer made me cringe.

Obviously she didn’t know what she’s talking about. Or maybe she’s dumb.

I prefer the latter ’cause it sounds more like it.

First, to hear such answer (indirectly, as the answer was given in a form of a question. But you get the drift…) from a Muslim woman who has obtained the title ‘wife’, is in a way indicating that she’s very the jahil. Wasn’t she being conveyed about the hukum agama?

I am not a certified ustazah nor a jahiliah to see it coming but that’s the basic rule. It’s a shame that even a not uber religious, unmarried person like me knows about it (it is obvious that in this case, she’s more jahil than I am…).

Secondly, she redirected the same question to a guy who obviously is a Man of The House by default; someone who governs based on his own decision; which is obviously very pathetic.

So sad lah this woman. Pity her.

Not my fullest intention to bash our local breed but that’s the bitter (not so) sweet truth we have to face. Though shameful, nonetheless amusing.

Doncha think so…?

Of The Trip, The Reunion and Getting Hitched

Cnut Okay. Let me just cut to the chase: I am going to The Phils in 2 weeks time but please take note that I am going to bring only RM100 to get me survived the whole trip (in other word, I’m telling you not to ask me to kirim-kirim beli barang. *grin*).

On a lighter note, I’ve already snowballed a plan to get a sweet taste of my own country: Cuti-cuti Malaysia. With the current commitment (read: work), the only mean to make it happen is to execute it in phases. Dad asked me to use the longer route than the normal highway.

"Use the kampung route. You will get the chance to see more beautiful things than using the highway. Highway apa yang nampak?"

It’s another wedding of another friend. This time, an old friend. The food was fabulous: sambal belacan + kacang botol and ikan masin (I don’t mind eating them for the whole week) but the best of all, I finally met my old friends back of my old primary school.

The description: Undescribable.

The emotion: More than a word could explain.

The thing about primary school (real) reunion is that you have to bring back the yearbook to map the kid in the picture to the one in front of you.

So, who’s going to get married next?

******************

On the other hand, I’ve gotten myself a new phone. The old one, despite the sentimental value it possessed, has to go, together with the pictures I love so dear (nasib baik ada a few yang dah transfer).

That, in some ways, signifies a ‘fresh start’, just like what everyone needs.

*****************

My cousin is going to get enganged this weekend. That also means, I have to get ready to be bombarded with the same o’ question: Bila nak kawen?

Given such question, I’d usually give them my sweetest smile and say "Relax dulu Mak Ngah/Mak Long/Mak Su/Mak Lang. Muda lagi neh."

Like Korn says… Life is peachy!

Farmer_n_dauther I’m currently active in The Old Room aka BiteMe.

Will not be contributing here for now but am sure I have a few interesting topics up my sleeve. Just need the correct mood to initiate.

Definitely can’t wait for December. Watch out for new pictures (and that is if I wish to share) along with the writeup.

Till then, take good care and don’t do what I haven’t done. :)
