I am now <–> this close to facing The Battle. All set and after yesterday’s class-cum-rehearsal, it’s not as hard as I think it is. I am all geared up. :)

This may sound weird, but I like the ‘Freddie’.

Wish me luck, guys. I’ll definitely update you with the result on Monday. Other than that, have a nice weekend. :)

Kay’s Journey to… Her Kampung

A few weeks ago, I told this to my mom, "Ma, I think one day I want to try and find a job outside Malaysia lah."

She said, "Go lah."

Starting from next month onwards (middle actually), I won’t be spending much time in The Office. For the next 5 months, I’ll be stationed at KP. Not to say that I won’t be hitting home at all during that period (of course la balik rumah kan… after all 2-hours journey jek), just that most of my time will revolve around getting the jobs done there. Kemungkinan besar bila dah malas sangat, I might hit home once a month…

I’ve already asked Pak Teh’s help in finding a place to rent. I very much prefer a whole house rather than a room as I prefer privacy. After all, in some funny ways, my wish of living in a rented place sorta coming true (though the location is not what I have in mind, but hey, that’s better than nothing!).

Despite temporarily residing in such ’secluded’ area, I will keep on posting updates. So, don’t la risau. I may not be in town but as long as there’s a connection, I am, in a way, still ‘connected’ to you. Cuma nak ajak lepak tu la yang susah sikit. Tapi boleh je kalau korang semua nak berkelah di Ulu Bendul. ;)

Oh yeah, remember my Jam training? It’s this Friday. With the schedule I’m having now, I might have to extend my post-training probation period too.

Sangat nervous!

Friday, Balakong & Uptown - Getting up to drive to work is one hard thing to do. Finding the effort to stay awake throughout the day is another tough job to accomplish. I’m not sure what has taken place in the Sleep Department for the past couple of days but whatever it is, it’s making me sluggish and sleepy. I am clueless with the way The Office thermoregulator behaves too (and this is my second time complaining over the same matter).

So yesterday, I decided to give Pump (Body Pump) a shot to see if I can include it into my Group-X Fave List together with Jam (Body Jam) , Balance (Body Balance) and Yoga. By the way, all the names I mentioned in bracket are branches of Les Mills Group-X program.

Do I have to explain? Tak payah lah kan? Just do some Googling with “Les Mills” as keywords and you’ll get it.

Getting back to the story, I had 2.5 kg right through the 1-hour class. By the end of the session, I’ve made up my mind of not including Pump in my list. As much as I want to add more muscle mass, I prefer to gain it the more graceful ways and Yoga and Balance are my preferences. Ludi will love this class as it can enhance his ‘Kay, watch my chest, left, right, left, right’ ability. (I just have to mention his name for the second time in my entry as he’s getting brawny each time I see him. Seorang lelaki yang mempunyai badan yang sedap untuk dipeluk!)

By now, I should feel the pain on my biceps and triceps right? Instead, it’s my Gastrocnemius muscles that are aching (Google again to know the location).

Don’t you just love my educational content?

Talking about Yoga, I have to tell you that I simply love this weeks’ classes. Jean decided to do Ashtanga (and I hope she will continuously do it) and Dr. Dhilip dive more into Pranayama and meditation. Oh yeah, please tell Mirsya that Dr. Dhilip knows a Yogina in Ampang. But I don’t think it’s Bikram. (Psst, Dr. Dhilip is skeptical when it comes to other Yoga branches.)

One more thing before I give this a wrap, to the rest who are thinking of giving yoga a try, please don’t ask the intructor to run the air-cond during the class. By doing so, it will defeat the whole purpose of yoga itself.

If you don’t want to sweat it out, just get the hell out of the studio!

Oh yeah, I can do Kakasana (Crow Pose) now!

Hoyeh!

Don’t Hate Me Because I Hate Your Indecisiveness

Saree was bored and I was struggling to put things together to expand my already-superlong Gantt chart. That is only the chart for one project. There’s another one screaming for my immediate attention. With the current office temperature that is killing me oh so slowly, it’s just hard to focus. I am a Leo and my ruling planet is the Sun and not Pluto. With this amount of coldness, focusing on keeping my sanity is the only thing that keeps me alive.

Anyways, as we chatted, she raised a very interesting issue on men and their integrity when it comes to keeping their words. And to support my entry, below is the snippit of the conversation:

S (Saree) : he hinted to go out with me this weekend tapi aku hanya malas nak mengharap sebab dia cakap hari isnin. so by weekend..i dunno whether he still has the same intention or sajer menyedapkan tinger aku
Me : ape hint dia? akuk pantang org hint tapi tak tunaikan. takyah buang air liur
S : dia cakap..dia nak jumpe aku this week..insyaAllah. aku cam..hmm..yer lar..
Me :  nak ajak, better  ajak a day before or on the dot. toksah nak ckap, "suatu hari nanti…" or "one day i bawak u…" sucker beb sucker
S : ITULER.. aku pon sebab cam dah byk experiences dgn ex aku
S :  aper yg dia cakap dgn aku pon..aku cam cakap to myself.."dont put high hopes"
Me :  yeah.. but akuk tak ske uncertainties. its like “one fine day…”. yeah yeah and that one fine day will be the time when i am abt to get buried 6 feet underground
S :  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. yeah true enough. aku pon actually, especially with someone yg ko attracted with. if someone yg kite x suka..then it would be yucky la kan. but with some1 kite suka cam..tertunggu2 terhoping2. damn aku x suka
Me : PRECISELY! akuk experience ni ngan rick byk kali when we were dating centuries ago. he always said "nanti ill call u" but then never did or "lets go to this place one day" and suffice to say, it didnt happen.
S : yeahlar, macam nak sedapkan conversation. benci kan?
Me: better takyah cakap ape2. bodo tol. geram giler
S :  ituler. cam x yah bagi kite harapan palsu kannnn
Me :  sbb tu mereka sucker but then, despite that kite sanggup sabar…

So yeah, the bottom line is, we DESPISE men who are the type yang ‘cakap tak serupa bikin’. Don’t give us empty hopes when the intentions are just to keep us happy and make the conversation longer.  Did you know the amount of pain we have to bear of having to wait, expecting something nice that just won’t happen? I’ve experienced it before and I don’t want it to happen again. I am the type who keep my words and I am expecting people do that too.

And this is not restricted to only between couples!

Geddit?!

There are basically two short term and a long term items I can’t wait to conclude. First would be tomorrow’s meeting.

It’s been quite a while since I did a presentation. Too ‘a while’ till I need to ‘de-rust’ my brain and retune my mood. That include forbidding myself to surrender to The Weekend Brain – the state of mind where I will TOTALLY ban the mind from thinking about ANY form of work stuff, even to the extent of planning for things to wear on Monday. Speaking of clothes, did you know that I still have a cardigan aged 7 that is still in good condition? (well, if it wasn’t due to my ‘creativity’, it can still be categorised as PERFECT. But hey! It’s wearable still!)

Despite the battle to shield from the weekend fiesta, I sempat balik kampung to attend a cousin’s wedding on Saturday morning and to Devi’s later that night, not to mention the regular sesi makan-makan at Nanny’s on Sunday. Suffice it to say, I didn’t get the chance to ‘study the groove’ as planned.

This morning, in order to force-tweak the mind not to fall asleep in the middle of clearing last week’s leftover (my IN tray was screaming in sheer terror), I decided to have an ‘OK GO on Treadmill’ session prior to hitting the cube. Lesson number one learnt today : NEVER EVER leave the house at 7.30 am or you can kiss your ‘sesi lari-lari hamster’ goodbye.

I only managed to make an entrance at 8.25 am and by the time the 15-minutes session ended, I was left with 20 to shower and groom.

Lesson number two learnt : DO NOT assume you can complete ampai kain within 5 minutes when you have 50 pieces of clothes to hang to dry.

So much for wanting to sign-in before 9…

I was late again by 10 minutes. I could probably make it on time if I was in my room, where I can reach for my stuffs without having to focus on keeping the towel from sliding down …

Oh well, I can always go thread-less and just change in front of my locker (like some of the women do) but to be frank with you, I don’t feel comfortable having other women marveling my beautiful figure.

Okay, you may puke now.

*passing the plastic bag*

And don’t forget to tie it before it lands in the dustbin. Kesian tukang angkut sampah if the content is being disposed improperly…

I am now considering the 7.15 am Balance class.

Esok, I’ll tell you the rest of the two.
