On VPL and Celebrating Life

On VPL…

This afternoon, a lady with super tight pants was waiting for her order at the McD counter. Behind her was a man in his 30’s. Basically, there’s nothing much to talk about apart from my usual unspoken complain on how small the portion of the Country Grilled Chicken Burger is as well as the constant war that takes place between the tummy and the brain on the fries I should get.

However, this lady grabbed my immediate attention when she started to rest her elbows on the counter. She is no midget. So, the result of her action was a protruding butt, clear to the sight of the guy behind her and me. I don’t want to go into his mind but I could guess that he’s enjoying every moment of it.

As for me, one thought came into mind –VPL Alert!

For those who are alien to this, it’s the acronym for Visible Panty Line (shame on you guys who don’t know about this. Korang dari planet mana ni???).

I come to pay more attention to this matter when Roadie (an avid cyclist-cum-avid blogger back then) wrote about VPL and how it has become an allergen to him. Period!

Thanks to him, apart from observing mens’ butts and womens’ legs, I’ve added another habit in the list: Checking out other women for any VPL.

Call me sick but once you’ve finished reading this entry, you will start to pay more attention to it and each time when that happens, my name will start to immediately come into the picture, just like how I tie Roadie to VPL up until this very moment.

Percaya lah…

For most guys, this may grow to become one of grossiest thing to see on a woman, mainly because it kills the guessing game and simply because it’s just a horrendous sight to have (apart from having to witness women with visible butt cracks, which is tremendously horrifying thing to see).

After all, one can never make the imagination grow wild when they already know the shape of the thing underneath… correct?

On Celebrating Life…

Today was about celebrating life to a notch above the normal level because…

  1. … most Malaysian are on leave, which means fewer traffic congestion. It’s a record that I reached the office within 30 minutes drive. It’s even astounding to find that that 30 minutes is inclusive of a detour via Telawi.
  2. … I managed to save RM1.50 worth of toll fare.
  3. … I am lucky to get a parking spot right in front of my office building.
  4. … I’ve sated my craving for Double Cheese Burger.
  5. … I am in KL for another 3 days.
  6. … I am going to meet my fellow Jammers this weekend.
  7. … I will be back again in KL by Friday and won’t have to be back to KP until Wednesday. Yay!

I wanted to complete the list to 10 but hey, having 7 is good enough.

Oh, and I know 2 people who already and going to name their babies similar to my name.

For Wantak, congratulations on having Wan Kamilia as the new member of the family and to Elle, looking forward to see Kamilla soon!

Excitednya!

Oh, I guess I should add that one in the list as well!

Going to schools reminds me of my childhood days; of my being teacher’s pet and a very garang prefect (Waie, aku tau ko dah mula recall time aku tulis nama ko! Hahaha!!!).

Those were the days during my primary years.

I am now sitting in the lab of one of the schools I monitor. I am not all alone in here. With me are a bunch of upper primary students and some lower primary kiddies, sitting together in one lab. Back then (and I guess even now), computer labs, libraries and Pusat Sumber are places that would get us all hyped up. Call it some kind of escapism. Exciting.

Wonder why? Just imagine the air-conditioned rooms where you can take off your shoes and sit on the floor and even golek-golek with your friends.

I guess the whole excitement is more on the unavailibility of our subject teacher.

No teacher= substitute teacher= NO WORK!

Oh well, even if we were given tonnes of work to do, we wouldn’t bother to do it anyways. Why waste the period completing the exercises when you can play SOS on the Math book, or indulge in Kandang Babi (Tic Tac Toe) until you’re out of paper to scribble?

Those were the days…

Who would’ve guessed that the person whom I surrendered to Pn. Azimah is now one of my regular ABC buddies!

Kesian Waie masa tu… tsk tsk tsk…

Money flows like a rough stream. When withdrawing cash activity exceeds twice, then you will have to start to find a place to hide you ATM card.

I have a few books in mind that I want to get but they have to wait. I want to get the whole set of Paulo Colhoe’s novels I saw in Uptown. Funny as I didn’t manage to find any in Kino. I already gave my The Alchemist to Ghetto for departure gift and now I think I need to get another one for my keeping (and not to be given away as ‘Bye and forget-me-not’ present).

I have to fulfill 2007’s resolution- to read the average of one book per month (exclusive of Female or Yoga Journal). So far, I’ve completed one (and it’s already April).

Sucker giler.

Am waiting for my next paycheck. Shoes have to be forgotten for a while. After all, KP people don’t give a damn if ’stomped the yard’ using Gucci (itu cerita sucker giler!). They will GIVE A DAMN when you start to strut in a bikini.

Wardrobe makeover pun kena pending. Tak penting now.

Buku! Buku! Buku!

p/s: It’ll be great if you could recommend me some reading materials that are inspiring like The Alchemist (not necessarily about love all the time).

School ends at 12.30 pm. And by 3 each Friday, I’ll be at home, watching TV.

Don’t ask me a lot about my first 2 nights in my new abode. I had trouble sleeping due to inconsiderate neighbour who couldn’t differentiate between day and night and human sleeping hour. Second day, I slept at a more familiar space- Mak Teh’s couch. I can see that I’ll spend most of my nights at her place. Living alone is not for me. I need to keep my sanity by being around people… I dearly know.

It’s a new thing to discover. At least I know how to keep my sanity at this place. I’ll collect more as my stay grows longer.

Like one of the teachers who used to be an ‘urban girl who is now a kampung person’ said to me this morning:

"For a town girl to stay at a suburb where the pace is slow, it’ll make you mad at first but once you’ve adapated to the pace, like me, going back to the city will make you dizzy."

Let’s see how long will this girl take to settle down… I am interested to know too.

To tell you the truth, my right leg hasn’t fully recovered yet and this Saturday, I’ll be attending the 2nd part of our post-training Dance Class.
